When there is massive bleeding the bigger risk is bleeding to death which is also most immediate. I Samuel 14:32-4 says Saul's whole army ate unBLED meat to not starve to death and they were not killed by Jehovah for doing what normally would, outside of emergencies, have incurred the death penalty. Similarly in Matthew 12 Christ pointed out David and his men ate temple holy bread to stay alive but were forgiven due to this being a life-and-death situation; at verse 7 Christ says "God wants mercy not sacrifice." Jehovah has arranged that most normal identical twins transfuse blood back and forth to each other through a shared placenta.

the u.s. supreme court ruled last month that an ohio village could not require religious proselytizers and political canvassers to obtain a municipal permit before they took to the streets.. in an 8-1 decision, in the case of watchtower bible and tract society vs. village of stratton, the high court held that applying the village's licensing ordinance to such activities violated constitutional protections of free speech.. the most curious aspect of the supreme court's ruling in stratton was a brief concurring opinion authored by justice antonin scalia.

In WWII German JWs suffered terribly after their branch head Erich Frost sold them all out, telling Gestapo who and where they were, and Brooklyn also ignored their plight and after WWII re-appointed Frost. Many nice rank-and-filers but sold out by the misleadership.

The Hawaiian one is called an "educational" center. The place in Maine may be a real "retreat" of some sort. Who knows more?

A 'cult start up course' in the mi...

as i was reading " beyond mormonism: an elder's story" by james spencer(www.mazeministry.com/resources/books/beyondtext/aacontents.htm) i couldnt help notice the blazing similarities between the mormon and jws.

i was just wondering, was there a cult start up course in the mid 1800's, b/c it seems that many cults used the same rhetoric and techniques.

i know there were many mormon/jw comparisons posted already, so ill just add my two cents.

Both had Masonic influence since Smith had been a Mormon and Russell's father and father-in-law were both Masons. Whether Russell was a Mason himself has been debated pro- and con many times, but their influence on him was definite.

I wonder about the people in these congregations

that bill, barb& joe and the pandello attended.

i know they are all separate congregations in different areas.

but are all these people just sitting back watching this happen?

The problem is the WTS won't tell them what's going on. Happily if you mail them the news, despite

all the preaching to not do so, they are still curious just as you and I are and most all do read

whatever you send them. Send them the information with a note at the end asking that they

make and mail copies of it too and some will. Address it "To The Congregation" and then the

elders will be given a copy and have to assume everyone in their hall got one to and start whining

about not reading apostate letters, and that will make those who get it all the more curious.

Even if you just sent "Hi, JW friends! Read http:www.silentlambs.org right now on the

internet, some would benefit. Or point them to the Newsweek article or this or another website.

More Reverse Cleansing

the organization now:.

protects child molesters (who usually can't be 'changed').

persecutes witnesses who complain about child molesters.. amazing!

They think this protects their butts from prison and the organization's money. In the end it will cost more than if they had simply reformed. To say nothing of the reproach it brings on God's name and the good people that are deceived.

being that not many of us will be able to make it into new york in sept to protest...i have a better idea...i say we protest at local kingdom halls on that same day of the ny protest!

I think it's a wonderful idea having local protests to go on too. Of course the WTS doesn't want that.

Alvin Hansen...What is the whole story?

several times now i've read articles posted about alvin hansen and some big legal mess involving the wts.

unfortunately, everything i've read has not really told me much of the actual story.

if anyone here can fill me in, i'd like to know.

On the other hand they are legitimate court documents and the WTS or its fanatics do use fear and smear. Too, they are desperate for money these days.
